Flashforge CJ270: Full-Color Material Jetting in a Desktop-Sized System
China’s Flashforge made the CJ270 available to order on September 9, promising more than ten million colors, 7-micron layers and water-soluble supports in a $3,999 desktop system.
Full color moves down from industrial price levels
The Flashforge CJ270 uses MJP (Multi Jet Printing) with seven industrial inkjet printheads and UV curing.
Flashforge says CMYK, white and clear materials can produce more than ten million color combinations. Minimum layer thickness is 7 µm and build volume is 180 × 120 × 100 mm.
Why it matters
Full-color material jetting has traditionally been tied to far more expensive industrial systems. The CJ270 is listed at $3,999 in the US, with first shipments planned for October 15, 2026.
Water-soluble supports could be valuable for figurines and visual prototypes.
What remains to be proven?
Color accuracy, consumable cost, printhead maintenance and long-term reliability still need independent testing.
